Question from an Alfa newbie - oil exchange at Delta
Hi everyone, sorry for not posting in Finnish but it's just not good enough yet.
I am a fresh Alfa 147 2.0 TS owner and it's my first car bought in Finland too. I am absolutely loving this Italian lady!
Anyway, I am about to exchange engine oil at Delta, because the previous owner used some Neste oils (no specified type unfortunately). Since I know that the recommended oil is Selenia Racing 10w60, I want to have the previous oil drained because I was told at Delta that different oils should not be mixed. Does it make sense from your point of view? Delta's price is a rip-off - proud 190e (including oil price), hence my hesitation.
I know Alfa recommends it because Selenia belongs to Fiat, but I decided to go for it despite that, hoping that I am doing a good thing to my carsie...
And anyway, is Delta a good place to do it or do you know any other decent workshops in Espoo area? Thanks for your help.

Re: Question from an Alfa newbie - oil exchange at Delta
I am not sure wheter Delta uses Selenia oils. When I bought my ex 156 2.0TS with full Delta service history, they had used Shell 5w-40. (this was quite a few years ago, nowadays they may use different oils)
During my ownership, I used Castrol 10w-60. I would think you would be fine with any decent brand 10w-60 oil if Selenia is not available.

Delta has Selenia oils for sale at the moment.mattijus kirjoitti:I am not sure wheter Delta uses Selenia oils.
Kiitos paljon everyone for your quick replies, I will ask for the price at that Konala garage one of you recommended. What kind of price range is reasonable in your opinion?

There is loads of AD and other private garages around, and other Finland, buy your own oils and let the garage handle rest, they have (in my opinion) good filters there, and cuse its only oil change, they wont srcrew this up
They can shut the service light too, after all, Alfa dont need any special diagnosis device for it.
It doesnt have to be manufactors garage, its always slight more expensive.
Where you holding our car, if around Lahti, maybe i could tip for good place?

I've broken my fall, But the end to it all, I've changed my routine, Now im clean
If you're still looking for a place to do the oil change, I'd recommend Malminkartanon Autohuolto. It's just next to Konala Delta and it's specialized in italian cars. They offer Selenia oils too... I do my oil changing there and they operate with "drive-in" style. Last time I changed my 10w60 there, the price was a bit under 100e with oils.
